Pictured at right is 1LT Harry Stein, 1st Platoon Leader, who is mentioned in Dennis' story. According to Richard Bratton, he was a former school teacher.

Outside of Camp Radcliff was the village of An Khe. Like most villages in Vietnam, it was transformed by the presence of large numbers of American soldiers. Most of these soldiers were thirsty and horny. Bars and houses quickly spring up around the American bases. An Khe's area was called "Sin City." Near right: the Texas Bar. Far right: the Military Police checkpoint at the entrance to Sin City.
