Although I didn't serve with this unit, I did a tour in Vietnam in the Army and was a machine gunner for a trucking company hauling JP4 to you guys from our Tanker Valley at Long Bihn. After the Army, I got my degree in Film/Television and spent the next 30 years in communications. I just posted a re-edit of a MedEvac film originally made years ago. This "re-edit" is aimed at young folk and features fast paced music and very fast editing. I you like Hueys, you might like watcing this on YouTube. Just type in my moniker, 'TUUTUUTANGO" and look for the Army Helicopter piece. Blue Skies Guys... (I'm a fixed wing pilot)

I SERVED FROM JUNE 1967 TO MARCH 1968. I WAS WOUNDED AND MEDIVACED BACK TO THE STATES. UNFORTUNATELY ALL NAMES AND ADDRESSES OF BUDDIES FROM THE UNIT WERE LOST WHEN THE HOSPITAL OPERATED ON ME. IF THERE IS ANY INFO ABOUT OTHERS THAT SERVED DURING THIS ERA, PLEASE EMAIL ME. I THINK ABOUT THIS ERA QUITE A BITE.

I just ran across this site by accident. It certainly brought back some memorie; some of them are even good ones. I recently got back all the letters that i wrote to my parents during my tour. As time permits, I will share any info that might help this site,

I just got an email from Pat Cremins, wife of Phil (AKA Red) Cremins who served with C Co. in '71-'72. Red has been battling cancer for quite some time and just had surgery to remove over half of his liver. He came through the surgery okay, although there is some infection and may require the doctors to go back in. Please keep this brave Skytrooper and his wife and family in prayer. Blessings to you all...

Please keep the people in the Twin Cities in prayer. Also, a fellow Trooper, Darv Brandt, who served with C 2/5 in RVN '71-'72, works for Hennepin County up there and is supervisor of all the EMS personnel for the county and his son is a police officer for Minneapolis. Blessings to you all...

Just read the article about Combat Air Assaults and was very impressed. It's rare to find such detailed accounts of how things were organised and carried out at the sharp end so to speak. I have linked to this article from my own Vietnam site since I believe it to be one of the few really descriptive and informative accounts available. Absolutely first rate.
